Aaron Greer Band Is In A Movie!

Hey everyone,

Aaron Greer here from aaron greer band. We had something interesting happen to us a few months ago. We got word of a Christian film being made in our area of Pittsburgh, PA… that it would be released nationwide in April of 2009… and that the film called for a band in one particular scene.

We were contacted by a film company called Uplifting Entertainment to be involved with their film C Me Dance.

The movie is about a teenage girl who studies ballet and is active in dance. She is diagnosed with Leukemia, and is given a short amount of time to live. She then carries out her last days telling her friends and as many people as possible about Jesus Christ, trying to win souls to Him.

So, in hearing all of this, we were glad to make an appearance in this film. We set up all our gear in a local high school auditorium, they had about 150 extras there as the crowd for the shoot… and we played a song off our latest CD Agents Of Change called “Air”.

We had a blast on the set that day… and we didn’t hear much about the movie until a month or so ago when promotion started for it’s release

C Me Dance was just released this past weekend here in Pittsburgh, and is hitting theaters nationwide this coming weekend (April 3-4, 2009). So, we went to see it yesterday. I must say, it was well done. Of course, this is a lower budget christian film. No big star power actors or actresses… and when you consider how much goes into making a movie, C Me Dance comes off very well.

It’s a shame… there are more Christian films that come out each year that get so little attention. Mostly because movie budgets are so staggering and promotion costs are through the roof… sometimes there’s just not enough money to do everything needed to properly promote these kids of projects. So… it takes us. It takes each of us, one by one, to make the kind of change we need in entertainment. Sometimes it takes individuals, getting behind something to tell higher powers what WE want instead of what we’re given.

- Amazing Grace
- Fireproof
- Passion Of The Christ
- Veggie Tales Movie
- Billy: The Early Years
- The Ten Commandments (animated)
- Veggie Tales: River Rescue
- Bella
- Saving God
- The Ultimate Gift
- C Me Dance

I know there are more… but those are the ones I know of at least

I hope you reading this will consider going to see C Me Dance at a theater near you… or any Christian film for that matter.

The song that we perform in the movie “Air” is being released to radio stations this week, 22 stations have added it so far… so we hope you have agb on your local airwaves as well
