A Hope to Encourage and Be Encouraged

Hey all. Okay, first thing’s first. I’m just going to come out and say it. I’m not really a good writer at all. Maybe I just don’t communicate my ideas very well on paper. It kind of seems funny now that I’m writing this because a huge aspect of the ministry I am involved in is the ability to communicate. You know, through writing songs, performing music on stage, stuff like that. It really is true when the Bible says that when I am weak He is strong. I guess that’s what my whole blogging experience is going to be about. I’m probably going to be talking about when I struggle and and totally fall flat on my face, and where God shines and lifts me up out of the stuff I get myself into. I guess I really hope to encourage and be encouraged.

Other than writing songs, I tend to write in a prayer journal once in a while. I don’t know about you guys and gals but when I have a bad day, out comes the prayer journal and I start telling God how frustrating the situation is, how I want Him to fix it blah, blah blah, the list goes on. Then as I write, God ALWAYS, and I am talking ALWAYS, speaks so gently to me and the frustrating words turn into words of peace and praises to Him. HOW DOES HE DO IT?!? What an awesome God we serve.

Okay, okay… Before I end this I guess I should introduce myself. My name is Christine and I’m in a singing group called Carried Away. I’ve been singing in it for about eight years now. As I get older I see how time goes so quickly…it’s already been that long? Gee whiz!! I’ll get more into my testimony next blog… okay moving on… I’m 22 (almost 23) years old, born in the lovely month of May. I am the oldest of two brothers and one sister…(they are my half brothers and sisters but I don’t see them that way). I love to scrapbook, play the guitar and play board games. That’s me in a nutshell I guess.

Canadian-based Carried Away spent the 2nd half of 2007 touring North America with JUMP5, pureNRG and Jessie Daniels.
