Why is Change So Hard?

I was thinking the other day about how much change that I have personally gone through in my life, and wondered how in the world I was able to handle it? First off, I was raised around a lot of change, from parents divorcing, moving what seemed like a million times, and just constant upheaval. I remember thinking that when I got older I was not going to go through that much change; boy was I WRONG!

Whether we like it or not, life is full of changes and many surprises. The only person that really likes change is a baby! So why is it that change happens so much in our lives? Well, God tells us that life was never intended to be easy, but God is always taking us like clay and molding us into what He has destined for us to become. Every one of us has a great destiny in Christ, but it is through the changes of life that we mature enough so when we get to our destiny we can sustain in that place of greatness that God so desires for us to be at.

So instead of looking at change as a negative thing, receive the change that is going on in your life at this moment as a positive influence. I know that all of the changes good and bad that I have been through have molded me into who I have become today. Yes, it was not always easy, but in the end it was the greatest thing that could have happened to me. God knows what He is doing and all we have to do is trust in Him. Because when we do reach our destiny we will thank Him for allowing those changes to take place.

The Arkansas-based duo comprised of vocalist/guitarist Chad Little and vocalist/bassist/keyboardist Dave Romero has been making an impact on Christian music fans, by blending remarkably rich harmonies and powerful production on their debut CD, Determined, which is in stores now (Flagship/Infinity). Produced by Rick Lloyd (Third Day), the album offers up twelve tracks of hope and encouragement, filled with rich harmonies and a pop-country edge reminiscent of Rascal Flatts and Carrie Underwood. And it's not much of a surprise that the duo's music often draws an immediate comparison to Carrie Underwood's pop-tinged hits, since Little spent a considerable amount of time in the American Idol winner's band, serving as lead guitarist, band leader and songwriter.
