Home Sweat Home

You didn’t think I mis-spelled “sweet” did you? I’m talking about sweat, working hard from the comfort of your own home. I’ve been self employed since I got out of high school. My office has always been in my house or apartment. It’s where I send emails, write songs, do accounting, book concerts and handle all my business.

My wife and I just got home from a 3 month tour around the U.S. After being on the road and doing shows every day, it’s been hard for me to get back into the flow of working from home. I sit at my little computer desk and find myself constantly wanting to get up and do something else. Sometimes the hardest part of working from home is staying focused. I have a 20 month old daughter who waits for my attention and a beautiful wife always cooking me little treats. It’s an amazing life and I love it - but I also need to fulfill my responsibilities.

As an independent artist and record label owner - nothing magically gets done on it’s own. When I’m not working hard, nothing is getting done. I don’t have any employees or business partners. It’s a complete one-man operation. The sunshine looks wonderful today, and I’ll probably embrace with a game of tennis. I need to get a touch of exercise, but aside from that I’ll just have to turn off the A/C and sweat from my desk. Cheers to another day of hard work, I’m very thankful for the opportunities I have.
