Hey everyone!! Well, it is a beautiful Thursday morning here in Toronto! I am super excited that the sun is shining and the sky is sparkling blue because this summer has definitely been lacking some sun! Since last time I wrote, there have been a lot of changes with Carried Away, so I’m going to take this time to update you all! It all started about a month ago when my sister Colleen decided that she wanted to move on to pursue other things and leave Carried Away.
Christine and I were sad, but we knew that it wasn’t the end of this ministry. We didn’t know at the time how exactly everything would work out, but we knew God still had more for Carried Away to do! So we prayed about it and we immediately both thought of our friend Tyler, who is an incredible piano player and singer, to come on board and be apart of the group. And it was so cool how as soon as we started rehearsing together, it just sort of clicked and our voices just blended! It was amazing how God just worked everything out so perfectly!
In the midst of this huge transition, I learned a very important lesson. I learned that God is in control and I need to trust Him with EVERYTHING I have. He needs to be the Lord of all in my life and I need to remind myself daily that there is nothing too big for Him to handle; He’s already got everything figured out! I really believe that sometimes God brings you through certain situations to teach you things you might not have learned otherwise and this was a lesson I needed to be reminded of. So I want to encourage you today, that if you are struggling with something, or going through a very difficult time right now, just hand it over to God. I know it sounds so simple and too easy, but it’s what He wants us to do. He has promised to walk with us, so keep strong and run the race God has laid out for you!
Be Blessed,
Pam Walker
