Raise your hand if you have ever had people tell you over and over exactly what God has for you. Sometimes they mean good, sometimes they’re just plain crazy, and sometimes it’s really hard to tell the difference. The truth is that if you are listening to God’s voice and your vision is in line with his word, if it is his will for your life, he will establish that specific vision in his time. Does that mean that anything you dream up or is placed on your heart, that follows those guidelines is possible? Well, yeah that is exactly what it means.
There are two verses that a leader must choose to live by in order to succeed. First, the confusion factor brought about by one hundred different voices telling you what God has for your life, is NOT of God. “For God is not the author of confusion but of peace.” - 1 Corinthians 14:33. And second is the faith factor. “I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. NOTHING will be impossible for you.” - Matthew 17:20.
We read this verse as humans and the only thing we can think of is the comic characters we use to be infatuated with as kids. It sounds quite impossible, and where would the challenge be if it didn’t. It is our nature to relate with other humans, their thoughts, goals and dreams. So when everyone around you wants you to stay in the same position that they are in, sometimes it’s easy to fall into the lackluster or familiar daily grind. The thing that keeps me going is remembering that nothing God has called me to do can be shaken or taken away by the world or by any man, and the things he has for me are far greater than all the riches or success the world has ever had to offer.
The only person that can stop you from fulfilling what God has for you is you. Focus on what God is calling you to do, and believe as if it has already happened. Roundhouse kick the roadblocks, and keep movin’. If Satan can keep you worrying and doubting who and why you are, then you will no longer be a threat to him or an asset to the kingdom of God. Be bold, have fun, and thank God for the gift of life. Our time here is far too short to do anything else.
