In the past seven years of being in this band, the number of times I have been stranded on the side of the road mandating my trust in complete strangers for help, is too numerous to count. I have met all kinds of crazy people in the middle of the night at truck stops and hotels. However, the one person I have become most afraid of while traveling is none other than good old Dr. Mom, (that’s Robutussin DM if you haven’t seen the commercials). While this cherry flavored goop does wonders for the symptoms of the common cold, it absolutely ruins anything cherry flavored you have ever enjoyed for at least a month following the cold. Cherry candy, Cherry Coke, Cherry Garcia ice cream from Ben & Jerry’s become nothing but a reminder of that awful medicine. What a bummer! (I guess you can tell that I have recently been sick).
Well, this is how I started the first week of our fall tour with Addison Road and Building 429. The rest of the guys seem to be healthy; I think I may be the last to have the bug. So, week two is looking better already! The shows so far have been lots of fun and we have had the chance to share all things After Edmund with many new people. What is really crazy, though, is that for this tour After Edmund will be performing as a four piece. Matt, our bassist, is playing the role of drummer (and doing quite well I might add), while Mitch continues to sing, only with a bass in hand. But don’t worry; we would never let the show suffer, we still have a few tricks up our sleeves. With that said, you definitely need to make it out to an After Edmund show sometime soon. Hope to see you there!!

After Edmund was introduced to Christian music fans on last fall’s SHOUTFEST Tour, and this winter with Seventh Day Slumber. Early rave reviews from outlets like CCM Magazine, Christian Retailing, Christianity Today and CMCentral.com have made After Edmund 2008’s debut artist to watch! Recent appearances on shows like The Harvest Show, Revolution TV, GOD TV and Gospel Music Channel’s Hot List didn’t hurt either. For more information, visit: www.afteredmund.com.
