Family Force 5 Tours, Plans New Album

They’ve crashed the set of The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, rocked out through two DirectTV performances, and held their own in a Vans Warped Tour slot. Now the musical mystery that is the Family Force 5 is set to launch the 14-stop club tour entitled “Skeletour and the Rock-n-Roll Champions of the Universe” with guests The Maine and Ivoryline. Beginning April 3rd in Dallas, the tour will lead the band to the final stop in Portland. Tour dates and ticket information can be found here.

Fans can also anticipate hearing the eclectic band try out some of the new material from their forthcoming album on the tour. Speaking of the album, slated for a late summer release, guitarist Chap Stique says, “We used to always say, ‘if theTransformers became a rock band, it would be Family Force 5.’ But the second record turns it up to 11. Now, we’re more like the Delorean from Back to the Future…but the Delorean became a Transformer that slays dragons, travels through time, and kills monsters with mullets!”
