newsboys Debut Latest at No. 1

 

newsboys’ fourteenth studio album, In the Hands of God, debuted at No. 1 this week on the SoundScan Christian Albums chart.

 The album, whose title track also recently topped the Christian AC radio chart, additionally claimed No. 1 on the SoundScan Christian Adult Contemporary Albums chart, Soundscan Christian Digital chart, No. 1 on iTunes’ Christian/Gospel Top Albums chart and No. 28 on the Billboard Top 200. The release gave Inpop Records their biggest street week in their 10 year history, and the newsboys’ first No. 1 record since 2003’s Adoration.

In the Hands of God is Peter Furler’s final album with newsboys, as Michael Tait steps up as the new frontman.  The album is a fitting bridge between the two, with Michael Tait adding background vocals throughout the album.   The band has recently wrapped their “Join the Tribe” tour.  For updated tour dates and more information, visit www.newsboys.com.
