Sixpence Preps Christmas Album

Sixpence None the Richer is back in full swing, this time finishing up work on their first Christmas album, The Dawn of Grace, due in stores October 14. The collection is set to include both seasonal favorites like “Silent Night,” “O Come, O Come Emmanuel,” and “Carol of the Bells” alongside two original compositions, “The Last Chiristmas” and “Christmas for Two.”

The band is set to return to the studio again soon to begin work on their next full-length project, due out early next year. In the meantime, indulge in a bit of the ‘Christmas in July’ spirit with a free download of “Angels We Have Heard on High” from the upcoming album.

No, we had some technical glitches on it but we’re hammering that out right now. Sorry about that guys!

I know this isn’t Sixpence-related, but can anyone tell me if the Mike Farris track in the audio section here is supposed to sound like he’s a Southern version of Alvin & the Chipmunks? I’ve got one of his CDs so I am familiar with his voice, and something isn’t right with this track.

Hey Brian - try it now. I assume you’re using IE and there’s a glitch with the audio player and certain mp3 encodings that makes the song play at double speed. Sorry about that (and really, apologies to Mike Farris!)

Does it Resonate with you?
